Position: Anesthesia Coding

  • Must be able to recognize key details in a patient record in order to apply the appropriate codes
  • Reviews the documentation in patient's medical records and translates the same into universally accepted, industry standard medical codes
  • Understand basic coding guidelines and ability to interpret Super bills & Medical records for ICD-10, CPT & HCPCS
  • To code charts based on standard coding tools (AAPC coding manuals & Super coder)
  • To check with Team Leader for any client updates
  • Meeting all set productivity and quality targets including TAT
  • Identify issues and escalate the same to the Team Leader/Manager
  • Update Production logs
  • Adherence to company policies, rules and regulations
  • To follow quality processes using checklists
  • Adherence to HIPAA guidelines
  • Responsible for complying with all QMS and ISMS Policies and procedures

Eligibility

  • Should have experience in Anesthesia Coding
  • Life science graduates
  • Good knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology & Medical Terminologies
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in medical coding
  • Basic keyboard skills
